All You Need to Know About Tailwind Tribes

Tailwind Tribes is truly one of my favorite tools to use for marketing because it’s added so much traffic to my blog and products on TeachersPayTeachers. Tailwind Tribes are just how they sound, a tribe. If you’re not sure what Tailwind is, read this post about the basics of Tailwind before continuing.

I love being apart of Tailwind tribes because I am constantly inspired by other teachers. I find content that I want to save to my Pinterest because I believe my followers will benefit.

What’s a Tribe?

A tribe is a component of tailwind that sellers and bloggers use to market their products and posts. It’s a group of people who pin each others content so a wider audience sees whatever is being marketed. When you join Tailwind, you have the option to become a member of up to 10 tribes.

How Can I Join?

You can find the “Tribes” tab on the left hand side when you open Tailwind. Once you click this, you see “Your Tribes”, “Find a Tribe” and “Create a Tribe” on the top. When you click “Find a Tribe” you can search your niche and join up to 10 tribes. Simply click join tribe and then you will put in a request to the tribe leader. Once approved, you will be able to add your pins to the Tribe board.

What are the Rules?

Different tribes have different rules. A common rule is if you share one of your pins, you must then repin someone else’s pin. You can share as many pins as you want in most of these tribes, but for every pin you share, share one from the board. You can see your ratio of how many you’ve shared to how many you’ve shared of others in the two boxes by your name on the left side.

Another common rule is to use long pins or Pinterest sized pins. I create my pins in Canva. Canva makes it easy to create pins because they have the standard Pinterest size template.

Make sure you read each tribe’s rules so you don’t upset any leaders!

Be it controlling the speed of the pins in the account, getting the best content updated, setting up the schedules for the pins for the whole week, or proofing my account to be ban-safe… I have got all these amazing things at one stop solution i.e., PinPinterest [com]
When I first started promoting my brands on Pinterest, I tried it all manually, but we all know how it goes… So I looked for automating tools and encountered Tailwind, BoardBooster, ViralTag and many other on my way..DISAPPOINTED by each one of them :-/ But my search continued and finally I settled for PinPInterest.
Using it for months now and I am truly amazed at how my ratings have gone up, my followers have increased, my pin boards look amazing. And everything is just available through my mobile phone too thereby letting me keep a check whenever I need. I transfer days between my multiple accounts as per my convenience and needs. The ads keep coming up at times, but its fine. Its like a small price for the great service \m/
